Morning alpenglow
Heading down a steep rocky path, that I cannot imagine horses ever using

As the trail flattens out, we see two horses and a mule tied up by some tents

Two options: (1) wave down the train into Silverton; or (2) hike 5 more miles up the switchbacks to Molas Pass

Krishna (and his dog) gives all 5 of us (!!) a ride into town – just in time for lunch
Watching the train pulling into Silverton. We saved $35 by hiking to Molas Pass, and we even beat the train to town
After eating lots of food , it’s time for a very expensive resupply at the General Store
