About the Appalachian Trail
The Appalachian Trail was my first thru-hike of a backcountry trail. I departed Amicalola Falls State Park in Georgia on May 3, 2019 and summited Katahdin in Maine on September 5, 2019. Setting out on this trip was exciting, intimidating, exhilarating, painful, and about 20 other different emotions (every single day) – but I’m so glad I completed this great adventure. Most of all, I’m grateful that I met so many exceptional and interesting people along the way!
