Highpointing is one of those addictive hobbies that few people know about until they start doing it. Traveling to each state’s natural high point is not for the faint at heart. Some of them require techincal climbing skills. Others – like Alaska and Hawaii – require long plane trips from the mainland. And quite a few of these high points are nowhere near the main attractions in that state. So why do I highpoint?
