Colorado Trail Day 7: A Massive climb up to Copper Mountain

  • Start: Gold Hill Trailhead / Frisco (Mile 102.4)
  • End: The Penthouse Site (Mile 123.6)
  • Miles hiked: 21.2
  • Weather: Sun and lots of wind up high, followed by a cold evening
  • Elevation:  12,489′ (high point); 9,199′ (low point)

Back on the trail after an evening in Frisco, CO
The 10-mile range doesn’t look any easier today as I approach it.
